Web Design & Development
I specialize in Squarespace and WordPress web design. I help my clients establish recognizable brand guidelines that take the creative chaos out of future marketing campaigns. I offer advice on industry-appropriate colors, fonts, copy, and tone of voice. My additional knowledge includes SEO integration, logo design, hover effects, Custom CSS, and Acuity scheduling.
These days, a company’s online presence is EVERYTHING. Think of it as a virtual space to showcase your brilliance. You have to put your best footer forward. Together, we’ll create an accessible, educational, and deeply enjoyable experience for your customers.
Process
Website Routine
Client satisfaction is my top priority. I aim to deliver professional, timely results and I only agree to work with clients who can promise the same respectful response rate. My straightforward process helps establish clear expectations from the get-go. Life is full of enough surprises. When you hire me as your web designer, this is exactly what you can expect.
Phase 1: We have a one-on-one call to nail down the scope of work and project deadline.
Phase 2: I send my proposal within 2 business days of our call. Proposals include a detailed outline of your website’s blueprint, including features and elements discussed during our meeting. This is your opportunity to make any and all notes or comments to ensure that we’re on the same page. This proposal will also contain a quote, project timeline, and payment terms. I require a 50% deposit in order to begin any and all site builds.
Phase 3: Once you’ve signed off on my proposal and paid your deposit, I create a Google Drive folder so that you can share your site copy and imagery with me. I expect to receive content within two weeks. I cannot begin working on your website until I have all the assets I’ve requested.
Phase 4: I deliver the first draft within the proposed timeline. You provide one round of revisions via email. While I’m happy to discuss the first draft on the phone, I need your final notes written in one concise email. Once I receive these edits, I send the final invoice with your remaining project balance. As soon as this invoice is paid, I proceed to phase 5.
Phase 5: I complete your edits within 3-5 business days, depending upon their complexity. I deliver the final project and help you set your site live! I’ll train you, or your staff, in the backend so that you can make updates when necessary.

Common
Questions
How much does a website cost?
The cost of a website can vary depending on its complexity, the number of pages, and the level of control you desire over its content. Single-pag websites start at $800. Multi-page sites start at $1,800. These are base prices and the final cost will depend entirely on your specific requirements and any additional customization you might need. If you’re looking for a website that you can edit and update yourself, you can expect to pay $3,500 at minimum.
I don't have site copy, do you provide that as well?
Absolutely! If you need help with site copy, I’m happy to deliver engaging, SEO-friendly content that will speak to your customers and keep them coming back. This service requires an additional call, where I gather everything I need from you. This service is billed at my per-word writing rates. You can find those prices on my Writing page.
Do you recommend Wix, Squarespace, or WordPress?
It depends on what type of website you’re looking for. Squarespace typically works best for portfolio websites while WordPress is a better solution for clients who would like the ability to update their content.
How many rounds of edits can I request?
Each project includes one round of edits. If you need additional edits, a fee is added to your final balance based on the complexity of the additional requests. Don’t worry! I share that fee with you before performing those edits. You can decide if the change is worth the extra cost. If so, I’m happy to move forward after receiving your final payment.
Can I pay via credit card?
Yes. In fact, I prefer that you do! Your invoice will include a link that allows you to easily pay online with a credit card.
